Sometimes I get four hours sleep, sometimes six and on a really good night, I might manage seven. How do I always look semi-awake you might ask? A few sneaky makeup hacks!
1. Full coverage foundation and concealer with a brightening, dewy finish are essential. Clarins Extra Comfort and Benefit Fake Up are perfect for this, and they last for ages (I recently ordered Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer too as I’ve heard it’s good for under eye shadows).
2. Shimmery eyeshadow in taupe or a light gold works absolute wonders. My absolute secret eye weapon however, is a gold kohl pencil. Line the waterline and under the lower lash line with it, and bam! Eight hours sleep. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Stick in Golden Bronze is my fave.
3. Lashings of mascara on the top lashes, very little on the bottom and a little bit of winged liner. The brighter and cleaner your under eye area looks, the better. I like Lancome Hypnose Drama at the moment for lashes and Maybelline Gel liner for the wing.
4. And rose-pink lippy. Honestly, nothing makes you look healthier and ‘Renee’ by Jane Iredale is sensational for this. It lasts an age and doesn’t dry plus it feels pretty moisturising on – nothing worse than dry lips when you’re feeling knackered, right?
