I blogged about Une’s BB cream efforts a few months ago, and although lacking in ingredients that I would personally expect in a BB formulation, it was certainly a nice product. Roll on to the present day and they’ve released a BB cream concealer version. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think they are the first brand to market a BB concealer specifically (although I think Missha may have one in Korea) so I was skeptical of this to say the least.
I used it for a few days and found it to pretty similar to the formula of their original BB cream; a smooth cream to powder-ish finish with medium coverage, although I did expect a little more in terms of coverage due to it being a concealer, and as with the first I don’t really buy into it being a BB cream. After trying earnestly to get on with this, I really felt like something was missing as it just didn’t seem to be all that good or amazing. Interestingly, after reading around about it (and because I often miss the point!) it turns out it’s mainly for use around the eyes and not necessarily the face. Well! You could have knocked me over with a feather. Totally did not expect that and amazingly, it actually is much better around the eye area. It melts a lot better into the thinner skin around my eyes and I’ve been using it on my lids too, sort of as a primer but also to get rid of the redness you can sometimes get.
Une promise that it will nourish the under-eye area with it’s creamy formula (which it does in fairness), last for 8 hours (no), smooth fine lines (not sure about this) and brighten the eye area (yes). Generally, it’s a nice average product but again there is no SPF, no ‘skin-fixing’ properties and so on, so technically (in my opinion) not really a BB cream product, but a nice offering nonetheless. It retails here for 10BD, a whopping 6GBP pounds more then it does in the UK. Will you be trying it out?
