Beauty speed review #4

Number four! I’m on a roll with these speed reviews, eh?

Should I create a tab on the blog for them? Let me know what you think.

Without further ado, here are the products I’ve been using and abusing of late.

Kiehl’s Rice & Wheat Volumizing Shampoo
I picked this up at my skincare consultation with Kiehl’s last week and I’m so glad I did. It’s a gorgeous shampoo; smells nice, leaves the hair feeling really clean and I have noticed a distinct increase in volume since I started using it. Thank god! Available in the UAE from Kiehl’s counters or online here.

Vita Liberata Capture The Light wash off tan
Let me just start by saying oh. my. god. Can you see where this is going? Hands down one of the best wash off tans I have ever used. Why? Oh you know, non streaky, not sticky, leaves a lovely natural colour on the skin with a nice sheen, dries immediately, doesn’t smell or transfer to clothes and lasts nicely until it washes away easily in the shower. If you’re a natural pale face like me and rubbish with fake tan then you need this in your life. Available in the UAE in various shades from Maison De Joelle and Pastels or online here.

Bourjois One Second Nail Polish Remover for hands and feet
The first one was sensational and this one is no different (hello I never have to use cotton wool pads again!). But same as last time, it’s more like 3 seconds, and not one. So fast and so easy to use and leaves the skin around your nails feeling lovely and soft. Highly recommend. Available at all Boots pharmacies in the UAE (can’t find it online).

Bourjois One Second Mascara
What’s with all this one second stuff? Why is everyone in such a hurry these days?! It takes more than 1 second to apply mascara, let’s just start with that. This has a nice thin brush with firm silicone bristles, coats the lashes nicely and provides decent separating action. No massive lash volume though and that’s what I’m all about. Available at all Boots pharmacies in the UAE or online here.

Max Factor Creme Puff Pressed Powder
I like this a lot. It’s extremely thin and glides nicely over foundation and doesn’t clog or look dry on the skin. I remember using my Grandmothers version of this back in the day and I always remember how soft the powder felt on the skin, and it’s the same with this modern-day version. A great product at a great price. Available in two shades from most pharmacies in the UAE or online here.

And there we are! Are you using any of these products?

You know how much I love these posts Simone 🙂

I am intrigued about that nail polish remover, I have the one for hands and I’m wondering how on earth do you poke your toe in there without all the solution pouring out of the side! and I agree with the 3 second thing, sometimes it’s even 4 or 5! ha!

    Hope you’re well 🙂

Haha! I should have said but there’s actually a sponge inside the lid and you use that to remove from toes! X

If you liked that Vita Liberata Instant, you should try out there Nkd Skn (don’t know what they have against vowels) Dark Tinted Tan Liquid. http://www.vitaliberata.ie/store/?q=0&cid=13&pid=193
I use a mitt it goes on in seconds. you have an instant lovely colour dries so quick and little or no smell. My sister bought it for me and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to use & I am use-less with tan. It also lasted a good 5 days before it faded.
