YSL Souffle D'Eclat Translucent Powder

The one where you meet a translucent powder that soaks up excess shine and makes your skin look amazeballs? Yeah, that’s what’s going on here.

I just want to do a quick post about this because I’ve been using it for the last couple of weeks non stop and it deserves the love.

I’ve used many translucent powders in the past; some amazing, some not but this one really takes the biscuit and I’ll tell you why. The weather here is ridiculous – particularly this time of year, and although I sometimes loathe to use powder it becomes a bit of a need in May, June, July and August. And er, September and October… damn this never-ending summer! 🙂

This saves the day (and your face) – it somehow manages to reduce shine and make your skin look flawless without actually showing up on your skin! The formula is amazing; so light and silky and I swear it blurs the skin slightly, although I just be delirious from the heat…

If you have oily or very oily skin or if you live in a hot climate like me, then you need this in your life. That is all 🙂

It’s available in four shades from all YSL counters in the Middle East or online here.

This looks gorgeous. I’ve been looking for a new loose powder so will give this one a go. Just wondering which shade you have?

Love your blog but you use the word “amazeballs” way too much.

I love that word and won’t be banishing it any time soon I’m afraid!

Simone, how does this compare to the Laura Mercier mineral powder? I’m currently loving LM.

I have LM too and love it. Differences are YSL one is much more translucent, if you know what I mean – not really something you would use on it’s own – morre for finishing off makeup, and it’s significantly finer/lighter than LM xx

Is the coverage for this one as good as the LM powder? I bought the LM one based on your and Laura F’s blogs and am obsessed with it!
