An everyday bright lipstick

Fuschia flash

We all need one – a bright, almost garish, lipstick that we can bust out when we want to turn a few heads, or to make ourselves look less knackered in my case! When I want to feel classic and a little bit retro I lean towards a deep red lipstick but when I’m feeling a bit like I haven’t slept in ten years then IĀ  go for something a bit mad, as my mother would say.

The mad in this case, is Fuschia Flash by Maybelline. I have been informed that it is an exact dupe of Candy Yum Yum by MAC for those of you that might be interested! It’s a deliciously smooth, super pigmented shade that applies as bright as it looks in the tube. It doesn’t dry out the lips but it’s a little bit weak in terms of wear, unless you really work it in as a stain when you first apply it. It’s not too hard on the wallet at Dhs52 and the texture of it is so pleasing that I’m planning to have a closer look at Maybelline lippies.

This shade is stunning and works so well with your skin tone and hair colour. Being blonde though there is no way I can pull this off, but I totally agree we all need a garish lipstick shade in our makeup bags. Makeup would be very boring otherwise!
