You all know how I feel about the words ‘midi’ and ‘textured’ in the same sentence. Well this dress from ASOS has both those lovely words, plus ‘floral’ thrown in for good measure.
I bought some other stuff too but for the purpose of this post we’ll just focus on the dress because I have all the feelings for it.
It fits beautifully; very fitted around the boobs and back with a little bit of room in the arms. It stops a bit above the belly button and flares out slightly which a) is so flattering b) covers up any belly-related lumps and bumps (hurrah!) and c) makes me feel like a prom queen. The length is absolutely perfect too.
The material is slightly heavier than I thought but I have decided that this is a good thing as it adds weight to the dress and makes it sit perfectly. And basically I get all the compliments when I wear it, so that’s why I love it #shallowsimone
I’ve also been stalking a few other dresses; the wiggle styles in particular are calling my name. Maybe I’m going through a mad men phase? 🙂

In other news, I look hot and bothered in the image above because a) I was using a self timer (loser) b) It was ridiculously hot and c) I was worried about my new eyebrows.
I finally took the plunge and got semi-permanent tattooed eyebrows. They’re pretty sharp and dark right now but they will apparently fade (about 60%) and darken over the next few weeks. I absolutely love the shape so I’m excited to see how they turn out. It wasn’t painful – I had a few questions about this on FB and on Instagram – Chloe applied a numbing cream so I didn’t feel anything. I did sneeze like a maniac in the first few minutes though, ha! I will report back with a full review after the six-week mark.
That’s all for now! 🙂
