Benefit Core Colour Collection

Benefit Core Colour

I’m kinda loving all things Benefit at the moment. Don’t get me wrong, I have love for them most of the time but right now I’m using more of their products simultaneously than I probably ever have.

It started with Fake Up – I met and interviewed Maggie and Annie and they both raved about its concealing/hydrating abilities. I tried it out for myself and apart from a rather upsetting couple of days a few weeks ago where I misplaced it underneath a mountain of makeup (it took me 3 days to find it), it’s been in my handbag and on my face ever since. Then, I ‘shopped my stash’ (Does anyone else find that phrase really annoying?) and rediscovered Watts Up, their beautiful golden toned highlighter.

Then some new products arrived last week inside a huge jar of sweets (on to a winner straight away there). The Benefit Core Colour Collection has just launched in the Middle East and it features some of their old reliables, like creaseless cream shadows (in new and old shades) and some new stuff like Ultra Plush Lip Gloss and Longwear Powder Shadows, all shiny and new in super cool art deco style packaging.

The Creaseless Cream Shadow is as expected; super creamy, fairly pigmented and er, creaseless but the Ultra Plush Lip Gloss is not what I was expecting at all. It’s sooooo smooth, ridiculously smooth in fact. Probably the smoothest, non-stickiest lip gloss I have ever used. The colour payoff is quite sheer but not too sheer that there is no colour involved. Every product in the range retails for Dhs96. If my memory serves me correctly, Creaseless Cream Shadows actually cost about Dhs110 in Ireland so I’m pretty pleased with this little saving!

Have you picked up any products from the new collection yet? Let me know what you’re loving!
