Another round-up of what I’ve been buying and reading lately!
So let’s talk about the doormat first, because I’ve had lots of questions about it since I posted the above on Facebook and Instagram. I ordered it from an Etsy store called Be There in Five during the summer but it only arrived recently as it took some time to ship. It’s quite big and super soft and I love it! The store also has a bunch of other designs like “Welcome, I hope you brought wine” and “Turn off your hair straightener” π
I was on ASOS a couple of days ago and made a little order. Now, I know I mention that every time I do these roundups but I honestly haven’t bought anything from there in ages (I swear!). This time I went for a kimono style blouse and this super cute skater dress. I’m particularly excited about the dress because; it’s knee-length, it has sleeves and a V neckline – usually unheard of from ASOS! Most exciting.
Makeup-wise, I have been obsessively using YSL Fusion Ink Foundation of late and Nars Kalahari eyeshadow duo. Fusion Ink just launched here (ages after everywhere else as per usual) and it’s really rather lovely. Light as air on the skin and dries to a semi-matte finish plus it lasts pretty well in the heat. And as for Nars Kalahari, honestly I think it might be the most perfect duo ever – a lovely medium toned gold and a light mauve/purple #winning
I’m also a little bit obsessed with Lauren Conrad’s new razor bob haircut. I think I need to get a razor bob! I might throw in a bit of colour too but I mainly need a blunt razor bob. I also want Laurens life/figure/style, but that’s something for another blog post π
Lastly, I bought a new camera last week. Gemma is completely at fault for this as she was flaunting her new Canon EOS M all over her vlogs and on Instagram so I had to buy it. When I researched it online it basically said it was a pocket DSLR and brilliant for vlogging (not that I’m doing much of that at the moment) so that was it. You can use other Canon lenses with it but you have to buy a Canon Mount Adaptor, which I have not done yet. First impressions are good; it’s way smaller than my 600D and takes seriously impressive pics.
