I have been dying to try Une ever since it hit the shelves a couple of months ago, the packaging is so fresh and the brand advertising really caught my eye. Although it is not available in Bahrain yet, the lovely ladies from Une in the UAE sent me a few pieces to try out.
The first thing I sampled was the 100% Mineral Foundation. I didn’t expect much as I am not a huge fan of mineral foundation in general but this is actually quite nice. So smooth and buff’s beautifully into the skin and look at the brush! Its as soft as it looks. I was pretty surprised at how decent the coverage is and had to do very little concealing as a result.
The swatch isn’t great but my hands are quite veiny in real life, so that should give you an idea of coverage.The eyeshadow really surprised me for two reasons; 1- they are cream eyeshadows which I didn’t realize (I love cream eyeshadow) and 2- the colours are beautiful!
I tried Glimmer Eyes Shadow in G16, a brown shimmery colour and Nude Eyes Shadow in N05, a beautiful matte mink shade. Very smooth and easy to apply however, they apply lighter than the shade you see in the pan. Perfect sheer shades for those going for a natural look, which is what Une is all about.
Also, in keeping with the natural, kind to the environment ethos of Une, you can pop out the mirrors on the front of the eyeshadow and re-use them!
Swatch below;
I wore the Une All in One Mascara for most of last week. Again, loving the packaging!
The brush is great and really separates the lashes. It doesn’t add volume but it definitely adds length and its a really really black mascara, which is always a big plus for me.
Finally, I got my paws one of the Casual Matt Colour lippies in shade M05, a deep burnished pink shade. The lipstick shades are actually based on natural lip colours.
So many people have raved about these so I was really keen to give them a go. They are nice and smooth to apply, really moisturising with a very sheer finish. Again, a very natural look.
I also got a super cute candle but decided it might be a little boring to review that…
