Having worked as a makeup artist for Laura Mercier in the past and being a huge fan of their products, I was beyond thrilled to hear that they were giving the Middle Eastern market another go (they pulled out of here a few years ago apparently) and setting up shop in Bloomingdales at The Dubai Mall.
I hotfooted it down there yesterday, planned to replenish my supply of their Tinted Moisturiser, have a general snoop and make lusty eyes at a few other products. Just before meeting up with the always lovely Aseya from Pretty in the Desert, I had a quick browse at the counter and unfortunately, all I came across were pushy sales assistants who appeared to know very little about the brand, products on display that weren’t actually available and a pretty poor shade range.
Unperturbed, I soldiered on and mooned over some of the gorgeous baked eyeshadow’s (see below picture), had a whiff of the delicious Body Creme’s and picked up two beautiful eye products that I’ve had my eye on for some time, a post on which is coming up soon.
If you’re in Dubai and new to the brand, it’s definitely worth going for a look at some of their offerings as long as you have your wits about you! The stand out products in my opinion have always been the Tinted Moisturizers (which cater for normal, oily and dry skin types), the Secret Camoflage palettes which conceal like a dream and can be mixed to suit your changing skin tone, the beautiful setting powders (some of which I’ve blogged about here) and the delectable metallic cream eye shadows.
That’s all for now!
