You can order Elf Cosmetics online here, same as everywhere else really but unfortunately the shipping cost can sometimes take the good out of it. There are also a couple of ‘independent stockists’ here (I use that term lightly) who apparently save you the hassle of ordering online, but whose prices are extortionate compared to the Elf website. So, imagine my delight last week when I discovered that my local supermarket has now started carrying the Elf line, woohoo!
I bought a few of their brushes as they’re pretty good quality but I also picked up this eyeliner, as I’ve never tried it. It’s incredibly cheap at 2BD, or online its 3.50GBP. I expected it to be a bit rubbish in a way, because of the price and the packaging is a little cheap looking, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it’s far from rubbish and is actually a nicely pigmented and very long lasting product.
It looks very dry in the pot and it is, when you tap your finger against it nothing comes off however, when I used an angled brush it was very easy to pick it up with a few firm strokes. It applies jet black but isn’t easy to work with once applied as it dries incredibly fast. I played around with it for awhile creating a line and then spent as much time trying to blend it with little success! I went on the website to find that it’s described as smudge-proof, budge-proof and water-resistant, so that would explain it!
Overall, a really excellent very cheap alternative to many of the cream/gel eyeliners on the market at the moment. Love!
