You know when you try a skincare line for the first time and you think it’s brand new but then everyone says it’s been around for years?
Especially when said brand is one of Boots permanent line own brands. Hashtag awkward.
Anyways, I have never tried anything from the Botanics line (apparently it’s been repackaged so perhaps I knew the old design to see?). As it’s really good value for money and from Boots, I didn’t really expect much but I’m happy to report that it’s actually very, very nice.
The Age Defense Microdermabrasion Polish is really impressive. It’s gentle but really effective at sloughing away dead skin and causes no reaction; no redness or hot feeling – it just leaves the skin super soft and smooth. As a result I actually look forward to using it. This is a bit of a revelation for me as my skin is hyper-sensitive and I usually have to go high-end and splash the cash in order to get a product that doesn’t make it freak out.
The All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream is also lovely however, I find a need a good dollop of it as it doesn’t seem to go very far. It’s super gentle and effective at removing makeup and it smells divine. When I posted on Facebook and Instagram about Botanics, a lot of people said that they have used the line for years and that they swear by it! Along with a few recommendations for the Rose Water Toner which I’m going to pick up this week.
So there we are. Just a quick post to say that if you’re looking for some new skincare bits and you don’t want to spend a fortune, I think Botanics might be a really good option. The cleansing cream is less than GBP4 online!
Are you using any Botanics products? And if yes, which ones? What else do I need to get? 🙂
