What’s In My Zuca Kit – Lip Products

I don’t carry a massive amount of loose lip products in my kit, I tend to palette everything and stick to basic shades that will work on everyone. I always have my Japonesque lip palette to hand which holds about 26 lipsticks at present, although I am always changing them, re-filling and so on.
Working in the Middle East has definately had an impact on lip products I carry. There is now only 2 or 3 tubes of lipgloss in my kit, they are not huge fans of it here. Understandable I suppose, when you need makeup that has serious staying power in this heat!
The lipsticks in the palette are a real mixture of brands; MAC, Chanel, Bourjois, Benefit, Rimmel and so on. I won’t list out all the shades but I will post a picture at the bottom of this entry and you can check out some of the different names. Make Up For Ever have a great little 5 lipstick palette that I carry around; no.15 which is the centre image above.
I usually carry about 10-15 lip pencils in my kit, they usually get me through any job and skintone. I tend to replace the same shades over and over again as they work for everyone, the most used being MUFE no.22 and MAC Brick, Subculture and Plum.

As I said above with the lipgloss, there are very few knocking around in my kit at the moment. A few mini body shop glosses and OCC Liptar in Anime amongst others. Although I change the shades of the gloss, I always always have MAC clear lipglass or OCC clear lipgloss in there, even though they are a nightmare to keep, spilling everywhere, leaking and sticking to everything they come into contact with, ugh!
Here are some of the names below, excuse the handwriting!

    >Oh now I desperately want a Japanesque palette, not sure if I could squish all my precious lippies but it looks so artistic when it's done and must be so much quicker than trying to track down individual bullets. As everyone is talking about the OCC Lip Tars, I feel my life won't be complete until I own one! x

    >I love those palettes and I know they are super handy but I always think it's a bit of a crime to cut a lipstick and mash it into a lipstick blob.
I get very stupidly attached to how the products look when I first get them.
I'm loving all your posts Simone and thanks for the recommendation on the Maybelline liner. You were right..it's amazing. Still hate the TV ad tho. 🙂

[…] At the time I took this picture, we’d been shooting for about 4 hours, hence the leg up on the couch and an empty coffee cup in front of me! I brought one of my Japonesque lip palettes on set with me as it’s so easy to carry around and a whole look can be quickly changed with a little bit of lipstick. You can read about some of the lip products I carry in my kit here! […]
