This week has been one of those weeks, you know what I mean?
I was on holiday and thought I did very little (watch my new vlog here) but actually I got a lot done, none of which was anything blog-related. Terrible, I know! I did however, do quite a bit of shopping. And I am justifying this shopping by saying that Black Friday only comes around once a year… right?
I bought this Sophie Hulme Bag from Bergdorf Goodman as it was pretty nicely discounted. It’s not a colour I would usually go for but having clapped eyes on it in person today I have decided that it is in fact, fabulous! 🙂
I also got an email from Selfridges last week alerting me to the fact that Tom Ford Lips and Boys Collection was on the site for 24 hours should I wish to go nuts and buy a few of them. So that’s what I did, I picked up the three above L-R; Jack, Xavier and Francesco. I haven’t tried them yet (Will I ever? I might just look at them) but I will tell you this – the bullet is the size of my baby finger. Also, there’s a really good swatch guide on the Tom Ford website.
I also shopped like a mad woman on ASOS because there was some pretty good discounts knocking around. It’s becoming a bit more chilly in Dubai and I am not suitably prepared so I bought this waffle knit jumper, this plaid shirt and this long tunic shirt. I also bought some brilliant bits from the gift section – have a look if you’re struggling as some of the gifts are really quirky and unique and not too expensive either.
So did I just shop this week? No, I also spent some time obsessively watching vlogs – mostly vlogmas ones. God they’re brilliant! I particularly love Marnies – they make me want to live in Texas. Is that weird? And Amelias are brilliant too. I’d love to do vlogmas myself but, GOD – the effort!
Lastly, for those of you who live in Dubai – I tried out two order online services this week; IKEA and Le Bazar. The latter is a new grocery shopping app and it’s bloody brilliant! I think it may change my life. You just order whatever you want from the vast selection of stuff and then they deliver it the next day. The produce is really good quality and excellent value for money. I’m never going to the supermarket again! IKEA was also pretty good, if a little slow at confirming your order and taking payment. They charge Dhs100 for delivery and Dhs300 for building and installing whatever you bought.
That’s all for this week! 🙂
