Make Up For Ever HD Blush

I have never been a makeup artist that constantly fills my kit up with the latest “collections”. I have spent a lot of my time and money sourcing excellent products that will get me through many different types of jobs and not let the side down. Occasionally I will be swayed by a product that has rocked the MUA world with its fabulousness and give it a go but mostly I am happy with my current product setup.

So when the MUFE HD blush range came out, I was a little curious but there was not a huge amount of interest surrounding it. It was more of a slow burn.
Although I use their HD foundations in my kit and know in general they have excellent high-quality products, I just thought “no”, I don’t need it right now.

I have always been a powder blush kind of girl anyways. There is a great range of powder blushes available from so many different brands and they have always fulfilled my colour and pigmentation needs so the HD blush just passed me by.

Roll on a few months and I was given one of these as a gift. It was actually perfect timing as at this point the reviews and hype were reaching fever pitch and I had been considering making a purchase. Yes, I thought it would be a good product but my oh my, I am seriously seriously impressed.

It is so pigmented, its hardly believable. Half a pump is more then enough for one use, possibly even too much. It goes on absolutely beautifully, so smooth and very blendable although you have to be relatively quick before it drys on the skin.

Here are 3 of the colours I am using at the moment. Number 6 which is a beautiful coral shade, Number 4 a pale pink, and Number 3 a stunning hot pink shade.
A stipple brush is a good way to apply it, but at the moment I am finding my fingers the most effective. It works very well on all skin types, looks incredibly natural and stays put, which is especially important when I am working in TV or film.
At $25 for 10ml of product its not ridiculously expensive but its not cheap either. The one complaint I have with this product is that it comes with a pump applicator. The amount of product dispensed is way too much for one application, no matter how gentle you are with the pump! That aside, its one of the best products I have used in years and if it ever runs out, I will be re-purchasing.

    >Hey Skinny P. The coral is amazing, my favourite in fact. I am quite pale with pink undertones so the blu-ish toned coral works very well!

    >These look fabulously pigmented – I am a cream rather than a powder which I think needs more advanced skill than I possess. What saddens me is that MUFE is not so easy to purchase unless you are in certain parts of UK and for me this is a product I would want to try first. Thanks for this. Jan x
