God, I can’t believe I’m blogging about this. Some time ago I was all ‘ooh yeah I’m so not buying anymore stuff from the many MAC limited edition collections that keep hitting the shelves’, I so don’t need them etc. And to be fair, I stuck by this… until now. Like everyone else I read all the blog posts and saw the promo materials for the Heavenly Creatures Collection and thought…meh.
I saw the swatches of a few pieces and although pretty to look at, I still thought…meh. Then, I was hit by unforeseen circumstances. I was wandering in the local mall here with Mr. G doing a bit of exploring, and spotted the MAC store. Now, that in itself was not an issue but the huge display stand they had at the entrance of the Heavenly Creatures collection certainly was. I couldn’t not look at it! Before I knew what was happening I was nose to nose with it and couldn’t take my eyes of Solar Ray in particular. It looked so beautiful in the pan but I assured myself it wouldn’t be that nice on the skin (no idea where Mr. G is at this point by the way, I left him for dust – he’s used to it by now though so it’s OK). Of course, and unfortunately for my purse, I was mistaken and it’s absolutely stunning on the skin! A gorgeous melange of peachy pink with heavy yellow gold running through it that add’s just enough shimmer to the skin. I seriously love this and can’t get enough! I’ve used it every day since it became mine and don’t see myself tiring of it any time soon.
If you’re a fan of peachy toned blush and subtle shimmer then you need this in your life. That is all.
