If you read my blog you’ll know I’m not one for compacts. MAC Studio Fix Powder Compact does live in my handbag but only for shine related emergencies, not for use as a foundation. I recieved this compact as a gift and I thought hmmmm. This hmmm-ing went on for a day or so as I really wasn’t sure whether to open it or give it away. Curiosity won out (what a surprise) and I decided to try it for a few days.
Let me start by saying I am amazed by the coverage this provides. We’re talking medium to full here and unless you have your nose up against the mirror you wouldn’t even know there is anything on your skin. A little shocked by this unexpected turn of events, I decided to wear it for the day and it lasted a good 5/6 hours before moving, quite impressive considering the temperature here at present. The next day, I decided to apply it with the sponge slightly damp as Chanel recommend and again, I was blown away. The texture of this is just beautiful. Not too powdery, not too heavy but like I said above, the coverage is really remarkable. Having worn it obsessively for the last week I was disappointed this morning to find that my MAC Studio Fix Fluid felt heavy and looked like er, foundation. Boo hiss etc. I might just swear of liquid foundation forever…
