Bourjois 1-2-3 Perfect Foundation

Another foundation? Surely I couldn’t possibly need any more foundation, you say? Sadly yes, it is another one and yes, I do. How could I possibly allow my foundation collection to suffer when there are new shiny amazeball products arriving on the market everyday? I just couldn’t, is of course the answer.

Especially when the foundation in question is from Bourjois, who I love and adore! And when I say I love them, I really really love them, they’ve become like the new Chanel to me. Any whiff of a new product and I’m weak at the knees, demanding prices and release dates and planning my timely arrival at the stand to get my hands on everything. Their previous foundation offering totally floated my boat and then some, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out there was another one on the way! And without further ado, here it is!

Introducing Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation, oh be still my shallow makeup loving heart! Seriously though, all melodramatics aside, this is a bloody excellent product and just might be entered in my Foundation Hall of Fame er, category.

It’s been formulated with three colour correcting pigments which promise to reduce redness, eradicate dark circles and lift and brighten the skin. Before we get on to that, I have to mention the texture first, it’s really really impressive. Light and extremely easy to blend, it literally melts into the skin and feel’s extremely luxurious. It’s a semi-matte finish without being too slippy and glowy or too dry and cakey, it fits right in the middle perfectly. I was a little skeptical of the colour correcting pigment action but was pleasantly surprised to find it reduces redness on my skin and definitely balances out the tone, probably more then any other foundation I have. These are huge plus points for me as my main skin issues are redness and pigmentation.

Any downsides? To be honest, no. I think it promises to last 16 hours but as usual I never buy into that, it lasts me all day at work and that’s good enough! I even like the packaging, a solid glass bottle with pretty lettering! Easily pleased I am. Anyways, it’s out now and retails for 8BD/89AED, again and rather annoyingly, a little bit more expensive then the EU but what can you do, whinge whinge whinge etc – I still love it!

omg and here I was getting excited about the flower perfection foundation you raved about that’s launched into boots and you’ve already moved onto something new!! It’s quite odd that it’s being released in the UAE first and the UK later… Isn’t usually the other way around?

As far as I know, it’s only in the Middle East & Asia at the moment. I would imagine it will arrive in the EU in the next few months? Bourjois Flower Perfection came out here in October and it’s only in the rest of the EU now. I think the coverage is medium xx

I’ve been a huge fan of Bourjois foundations for ages (ever since the brush foundation which was so sadly discontinued) so I’m excited to try this one. Do you know what the colour range will be like? The healthy mix foundations have tended to be a little on the yellow side for me. Havent tried Flower Perfection yet.

Well it came out here in 9 shades; 3 light, 4 medium and 2 dark. I’m using the middle of the 2 light shades, no.52. I think it’s a good range but not sure if all those shades will be released in the UK/Ireland x

I just bought it in Belgium, never heard of it before! I don’t really know what to think because I have a very light complexion with heavy redness, so I still need a strong green concealer underneath.Btw it costs 15 euros with a 2 euro refund so 13 euros in Brussels.

I Don’t Like This Foundation I Have Shade 51 And Even Though I’m Pale Im Not Super Porcelain Pale, And Shade 51 Normally Suits Me But For Sme Reason This Is Way To Dark Extremely Orange And No Lasting Power! Shame As I Really Love Healthy Mix And Shade 51 In That Is Perfect For Me But Oh Well, It Only Cost Me £6.99 Anyways So it Didn’t Break The Bank;)

It looks so pretty on you, such a difference. It sounds like a great foundation, like that it’s lightweight. Love your eyelook.
Btw: it’s now in the Belgium stores, so that is pretty late since march.
