Set Break – Viva Bahrain

This is a photo from a photoshoot I attended recently. It was for a nationwide billboard campaign for a telecommunications company. Although there was a makeup room in the studio, I just carried lipstick, powder, blotting paper and some brushes on to the actual set with me.

At the time I took this picture, we’d been shooting for about 4 hours, hence the leg up on the couch and an empty coffee cup in front of me! I brought one of my Japonesque lip palettes on set with me as it’s so easy to carry around and a whole look can be quickly changed with a little bit of lipstick. You can read about some of the lip products I carry in my kit here!

Haha, what’s funny is I don’t use a lot of lipsticks personally, I have about 4 or 5 and that’s it!

I keep meaning to get one of those japonesque boxes, much better than lugging about lipsticks and having to keep checking for colours etc. but I’ve always wondered if the lipsticks keep well in the japonesque box if they are not frequently used, would they go off?? It appears you are always busy on shoots etc. so I doubt you’d have that problem. x

I thought this would be the case when I first got them but they’re actually amazing, the clasp on them is airtight and the lipsticks are still as fresh as they were when I paletted them, although you’re right I do usually run through a well within 4-5 months which is convenient!
