Sapori Di Bice

Sapori Di Bice

Friday mornings call for family breakfast and a stroll in the gorgeous weather we are still being blessed with. Although we stuff our faces every weekend, this particular outing was a little different. Why, you might ask? Oh you know, we only stumbled across the best restaurant ever.

It’s in Citywalk and has only been open a month – the service, ambiance, food and decor are damn impressive and so many people have yet to hear about it which is really exciting. You know that feeling when you discover something new and amazing and you know that in a very short period of time, everyone is going to go nuts for it? That’s how I feel about Sapori Di Bice.

The food was so good that I’m still thinking about it now. I had a traditional Italian frittata (mouth-watering) with fresh grapefruit juice (sensational), the husband had the English breakfast (practically licked the plate) and Charlie had pancakes (actually licked the plate).  We got chatting to the manager who explained that everything is made fresh on site; pasta, bread, gelato. You name it, they make it fresh. And as if on cue while we were blabbering, the croissant and foccacia bread making began right beside us.

A carbohydrate dream. We tried some of the gelato too (9am is a totally acceptable time for ice cream) and my god, it took me back to the week we spent in Rome a couple of years ago when I gained like, 10lbs because everything tasted so good.

Honestly, I can’t recommend the place enough. It’s so different to anything else in Dubai. Most of the staff are Italian which adds an authenticity that you just don’t get here very often and they are so great with kids that I kind of wanted to hug them when we were leaving.

If you live in Dubai, you must go (link to their Facebook page here). That is all.
Happy weekend everyone! :)
