As many of you know, my attention span when it comes to new products is pretty short. Unless something completely blows me away and changes my life, new products get a good going over for about two or three weeks at the most before they are tossed or given away to friends. That might sound harsh and ruthless but can you blame me when there is about 1 billion versions of every product to choose from?
Anyways, I digress. This particular newbie from Kerastase had me in a bit of a pickle, as many of my English friends would say. It’s a serum for your scalp that must be used for a minimum of 5-6 weeks before results become apparent in the form of generally amazeballs hair. 5-6 weeks! Can you imagine? The notion alone made me a bit sweaty and panicky. But hey, if there’s one thing I love it’s a challenge! I threw myself into it with gusto, giving it a special place among my hair products and putting it right beside my Tangle Teezer to remind me to use it everyday – and you know what? I did use it everyday, and it ended up being not that difficult at all. Mainly because it’s quick and easy to use and requires very little application effort and also because, well… it makes me feel a bit posh for some reason. I think it’s the packaging.
So, that’s the long-winded back story. Fast forward to present day and (would you believe!) I’ve been using it for just under two months now. I know I know, I surprise myself sometimes! Whats even more amazing is that it actually works and my hair is like a whole new being. I honestly don’t when it happened but one day, all of a sudden, I realised that my hair was not dry anymore. At all. No dryness whatsoever. And then, a few days later Mr.G said “have you been using special stuff on your hair? It looks really shiny”. Well, that was it for me. That was the moment! If Mr. G notices that my hair looks healthy and shiny then it must actually look bloody amazing. I mean, this is a man who failed to notice for the guts of two days that I had practically been scalped by Toni & Guy in Singapore!
And there we are. I’m converted, impressed, amazed, overwhelmed and singing the praises of this beauty to anyone who will listen. It is truly, truly worth the 230aed asking price and lasts quite a significant amount of time so it’s good value for money. In case anyone is wondering, the application is pretty simple and takes literally about 30 seconds; squeeze 2 pipettes (for fine hair, I think it’s 3-4 pipettes if you have thicker hair) onto the scalp in different areas and massage in with your fingers and style as normal. It doesn’t weigh down the hair, leave a residue or any trace at all really and just in case it’s not clear from my wafflings so far, I am in The Love. Yes indeed.
Is anyone else using this at the moment?
