Hydraluron

I’ve been using the much hyped Hydraluron for almost two weeks now and it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I ordered it from Boots.com after reading a stonking review on Caroline Hiron’s blog. She basically said it’s one of the best products she has ever used and seeing as she knows her skincare shizzle, I decided to give it a go. Hydraluron is a skin serum that promises to plump and refine whilst increasing skin elasticity and with regular use it claims to increase moisture levels. It’s main ingredient is Hyaluronic acid and as Caroline so perfectly put it “Hyaluronic Acid is capable of absorbing up to 1000 times its weight in water. Basically it acts like a magnet to anything you put on top of it – so you apply this, put your moisturiser on – and it stays there – the water in your moisturiser takes longer to evaporate off the surface of the skin”.

So far so fabulous, right? It has a clear almost gel like consistency that glides easily onto the skin and disappears without a trace. It’s quite cooling and pleasant to use and I found a little bit goes a very long way, with a pea sized amount covering the whole face.

After 2-3 days of slapping it on I was singing it’s praises to anyone who would listen. Although my skin was no more hydrated than before, it felt plump and smooth. After a week of use it was the complete opposite. My skin had become extremely dry, tight and itchy around the chin and forehead although the lovely plumpness remained. Unsurprisingly I was slightly horrified but as my skin is incredibly temperamental the majority of the time I decided to power through, give it another day or two and see if the reaction I was having would abate. Happily, it did and pretty quickly too, and now almost two weeks later I am officially in THE LOVE. My skin has seriously never felt so moisturised, it looks plump and rejuvenated and amazingly, many of the fine lines I had on my forehead and around my eyes have all but disappeared! My skin is smooth and bump free and honest to god (as my Mother would say), I can hardly bloody believe the difference this has made to my mug.

The only downside, and it’s a shame there is any at all, is the price. At 24.99GBP for 30ml it’s not cheap (but not extortionate either considering the results I’ve seen) but in my opinion, it is completely and utterly worth it. You need this in your life! Right now! That is all.

I seen this in Boots yesterday and in my head I said it like you do in your video. When you’re talking about how your sister in law (I think) is asking for it “Hyyyydraaaluuuuron” haha.

Hi Simone, great review, do they deliver to Bahrain or can you buy it anywhere in the mid east?

I just read the review on Caroline’s blog as well, and now after yours I’m sold! Just need to figure out how to get this one to India. You don’t have any problems ordering from Boots and having it shipped internationally?

Hi Kassia, I use Aramex/Shop & Ship to get it here. They’re in India too as far as I know. I send the stuff to my UK address that they give me and it gets forwarded to me here :)

I love the Etat Pur Hyaluronic Acid (third of price) but you’re tempting me to give this a go next! x
