Following on from all the products that I brought in my Muji makeup box when travelling recently, I thought I’d do a quick post on the skincare essentials I can’t go anywhere without these days. I don’t bring a tonne of stuff with me these days, mainly because I don’t have a whole lot of time and also because I’ve managed to find a nice routine with certain products that work really well for me.
Of course, Bioderma Sensibio is in there – I’m sure no one is surprised! It’s so easy and effective, not to mention super gentle. I usually carry the size above, 250ml or the 100ml travel size. Also in there is my current favourite moisturiser, Murad Essential C Daily Moisture. I love this, and really can’t say enough good things about it. It has done absolute wonders for my skin and restored it to the reasonably decent condition it was in a few months ago. I bought it from LookFantastic.com and although it’s expensive, it’s completely justified. Next up is Caudalie Beauty Elixir, this is a reasonably new addition and I won’t go on about it too much as I blogged about it only a few days ago, you can check out the post here. Suffice to say, it’s a great little product, very affordable and perfect for having in your bag when you’re on the go and need a skin pick me up.
My go-to eye cream these days is Dr. Haushka Daily Revitalizing Eye Cream. I wasn’t sure about it at first but now I absolutely love it and have been using it religiously for a few months, it keeps the fine skin under my eyes nicely moisturised and although it hasn’t cleared up lines, no new ones have appeared and generally, my under-eye area is looking quite refreshed! It’s a super thin translucent formula that feels lovely on the skin and the price point isn’t too bad either, plus the size is perfect for travel. And lastly, a mini facial primer from Murad which I got in a Glossybox some time ago. It’s a dewy finish tinted primer so initially I thought, nah not for me due to my oily skin but after using it a couple of times I now really like it! I use it underneath foundation as it adds a touch of subtle sheen to my skin and keeps the foundation itself looking quite even throughout the day, plus its just a lovely product to use.
What are your skincare travel essentials? Any major one’s I’m missing out on? My aim at the moment is to put together a perfect capsule collection of skincare and makeup, full of products that pack maximum punch, saving me both time and copius amounts of money. A girl can dream, right?!
